***NEW*** Illinois AgriScience Fair Handbook (udated 3/10/2014)
This handbook provides students and teachers a guide to participation in the AgriScience Fair at the State FFA Convention. It not only provides an overview of research categories, divisions and components, bu also gives and overview of the competition and timelines.
The Illinois FFA Foundation sponsors awards and prmium money to participants, as funds are available.
Participants in the Illinois AgriScience Fair have the opportunity to advance to the National FFA COnvention, for additional recognition, prizes and scholarships.

 
2013-14 FFA Alumni Scholarship Application
Attached is the 2013-2014 IL FFA Alumni Scholarship Application - Please use the attached (fill-in) 2012-2013 Application, and not last year's application.
Please note: The IL FFA Alumni will only accept 1 Application per School per Conference.
Your Alumni must be Active with 10 members and have sent in a Roster in for the last 2 years. Additionally, your FFA Chapter must be in good standing to apply for these scholarships.
If a student has already attended the conference they are applying for, they will not be considered for an Alumni Scholarship for that conference (for example: If the student attended the 212 Conference in January 2012, they cannot apply for the 212 Alumni Scholarship to attend the conference in January 2013):
212 Conference - Received October 15, 2013 (The Alumni prefers Sophomores apply for this scholarship, but Freshman applications will be reviewed if any scholarships are left.)
IL FFA Leadership Camp - Postmarked March 1, 2014 - Please note the Camp is in the last week of July - check for conflicts; such as, county fairs, before applying.
Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) - Postmarked March 1, 2014 Points to Score Better on Your Application:
Use the attached application that is labeled 2013-2014 - do not use prior years' applications, these will be disqualified.
Type the Application - Please use the fill-in application that is attached or type on a typewriter. (We will not accept applications that are in pencil.)
Accurate Spelling, Punctuation, and Neatness
Follow the Rubric when filling out the application to get the most out of the points.

2013-14 Proficiency Application - AgriScience Research
Students that won at district and are advancing to the State Awards Day competition, are required to complete a proficiency application. If you have a agriscience Research project,use this application. Complete it and bring two copies to the Awards Day activities.

Students that won at district and are advancing to the State competition on April 10th, are required to complete a proficiency application. If you have an entrepreneurial project,use this application. Complete it and bring two copies to the Awards Day activities.

2014 Farm Credit News Room Application
Calling all Section and Chapter Reporters! Would you like to join the Farm Credit News Room at the 86th State FFA Convention June 10-11-12, 2014? It's a great way to communicate our message to the world. News Rooms correspondents will be taking photos of state winning members, chapters and contributors, as well as taking photos throughout convention hall.

Correspondents will also be responsible for sending press releases, managing social media efforts through Facebook and Twitter, as well as simply informing the public about the great things Illinois FFA members are accomplishing. Join the News Room by completing the News Room Correspondent Commitment Form, email the form to the Illinois FFA Center by May 23, 2014.

The News Room is sponsored by Farm Credit Services and they will provide all the computers we use in the News Room along with technical assistance. Also assisting with the News Room will be members of the University of Illinois Ag Communications Alumni and Ag Communications students.

2014 State FFA Band Application
Interested in sharing your musical talent at the 86th State FFA Convention? Consider applying for the State FFA Band. The Band plays an important role at the convention each year and members are encouraged to take part.
The convention will be held June 10-12, 2014 in Springfield, Illinois. The band rehearsals will return to the Prairie Capital Convention Center, which has been remodeled since last year.
Applications are due no later than April 15th to the Band Director, Kayla Boren.

 
2014 State FFA Chorus Application
Lend your voice and talent to those in attendance at the 86th State FFA Convention? Consider applying for the State FFA Chorus. The Chorus is an important part of the convention each year and members are encouraged to take part.
The convention will be held June 10-12, 2014 in Springfield, Illinois. The band rehearsals will return to the Prairie Capital Convention Center, which has been remodeled since last year.
Applications are due no later than April 15th to the Chorus Director, Robert Eckert.

 
2014 State FFA Convention Talent Application
The 2014 State FFA Convention promises to be an exciting event. We are calling upon FFA members to share their talents with other FFA convention participants. We would like to include solo and/or small group performances which could include vocal or instrumental solos, barber shop quartets, country western, etc. Please include with your application a video or CD recording of your musical numbers. Make sure your name and chapter is on the cassette so it can be returned to you after talent selections are made. Applicants who are accepted will be notified prior to the Convention. We are all looking forward to a fantastic 86th State FFA Convention and we hope you will be a part of it!!!

 
American Degree 2014 webinar link

In the webinar, Mindy Bunselmeyer briefly goes through the application, discussing areas that have been trouble spots in the past. She also goes through the procedures on what is needed and when things are needed.

 
American Degree Intent to Apply form
This is the form that we would encourage any member who is applying for their American Degree to complete and return to the Illinois FFA Center. We will then be able to send them information that will help them complete the application.

 
Outstanding Chapter Reporter Application
This application should be completed by all FFA Chapter Reporters. The Chapter Reporters completing and submitting the application to the Illinois FFA Center will be recognized on stage at the State FFA Convention. Application are due to the Illinois FFA Center no later than May 1st.

The Top Section Reporters completing and submitting the application to the Illinois FFA Center will be recognized by certificate and/on stage at the State FFA Convention.
