Miriam Hoffman is from the Earlville FFA Chapter in LaSalle County, where she served as the Section 7 President for the 2017-2018 year. She is a 2018 graduate of Earlville High School, where her FFA Advisor is Mrs. Natalie Mahler.
Miriam lives on a diversified crop and livestock farm and gives credit to her family, particularly her parents, Winifred and the late Kenneth Hoffman, for developing her passion for agriculture and the FFA. Her SAE is in the area of dairy production where she breeds and sells purebred Milking Shorthorn and Dutch Belted dairy cattle to dairy producers across the nation. Aside from her heavy commitment to the FFA, Miriam spends a great deal of time showing and working with her cattle as well as serving on several volunteer teams at her local church.
She can't wait to spend the next year advocating for Illinois agriculture and FFA and inspiring members like herself to pursue their passions.
Miriam's future plans are to attend Illinois Valley Community College before transferring to a 4-year university, studying Agribusiness with a minor in Animal Science.
